PVM has been the world's leading crude oil broker for the last 35 years. In London alone there are 20 OTC crude oil brokers and 8 futures brokers. The company has been heavily involved in the development of all the commodity crude oil contracts from Saudi Light in the early 1980s through Brent/Ninian/Forties (BNF) to the current Brent and Dubai contracts. The contract specifications for IPE Brent (now the ICE Brent futures contract) and OTC 15-day Brent (forerunner of the current 21-day BFOE - Brent, Forties, Oseberg, Ekofisk), were strongly influenced by PVM and Brent is now the global crude oil marker.

The PVM crude group is the leading broker of OTC contracts and consists of professionals from physical, futures and forwards backgrounds with unrivalled fundamental and technical experience. Within this group are teams specialising in Brent CFDs and DFLs, Brent/WTI swaps, Dubai swaps, Urals swaps, Crude options and MOPs.
